Still king of the battlefield after all these years, despite the best efforts of AT-gun designers, ATGM's, attack helis, etc. Over the last two decades, there has been an upper limit reached in terms of overall size and weight. The emphasis now is on lighter armors, autoloaders to reduce crew numbers, full amphibious capabilities, higher ground speeds and improved anti-missile self-defence.
Arasaka HBT-53 Tigershark
This tank features giant main weapon, and 4 independent tracks make this both a dangerous, and highly manoeuvrable heavy battle vehicle. So far the United States is the only buyer of this weapon, though the EEC is looking at it closely as well. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Arasaka PLA-275 Overlord
Successor of M-75 with futuristic design. Now it's more a main battle tank than a light tank. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Arasaka UWT-547 | ||
Specifically built for urban warfare this light tank uses 8 tires instead of treads. This allows it to move incredibly fast for a tank while keeping the same manoeuvrability one would expect from such a vehicle. This tank is not suitable for off road use. A special feature allows the wheels to act independently, and each wheel can rotate in its hub a full 90 degrees, allowing it to travel sideways at up to 50 km/h. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Arasaka UWT-555 | ||
Arasaka loves it's wheeled design, and mounting 30 mm vulcans to them. This vehicle is almost more of an APC, but it doesn't hold enough people to support that role, and it's main gun is too severe for that anyway. The +5 targeting computer of this vehicle has proven to enable the vehicle to shoot down even fast moving aircraft, and the 30 mm gatling can act as an AGAMS system in emergency. Both the US and the EEC has made purchases of this vehicle. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
BMW LRAT-505 Devilspear
The EDF's railgun equipped tank, the entire vehicle was developed to fire the upgraded "Godsting" 3 cm railgun. The weapons far exceed the range of any similarly equipped tank, meaning it doesn't need to further weigh itself down with defensive weaponry. It is however very well armored, and the tanks fire control computer has proven so accurate it has even proven able to shoot aircraft out of the sky. Unfortunately its price has kept it from being widely distributed and deployed. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Bumar PT-97 | ||

A Polish made MBT, reliable, affordable, and sold worldwide, especially to southeast asia and eastern europe. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Chinese BZT-172 | ||
A small tank from china, no frills. Interesting in that the tank treads are almost completely concealed behind armor plating, giving them more protection than you would normally find. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Chinese LRAV-35 Inferno
More of an artillery weapon than a tank, this is China's extremely affordable long range weapon. They actually sell more of these than they use themselves, mostly to African militaries and rebel forces. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
GKN AMAAT-405 Lion | ||
Great Britian and the EDF raise the stakes and the look of modern warfare with their Lion. It's main turret houses a 2 cm railgun, and all the other weapons, including the two machineguns, are internally controlled. On the battlefield no member of the crew ever need expose himself to fire, or the rest of the crew to airborne agent, by opening a hatch. The tank utilizing state of the art firing computers, and is driven totally by interface. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
GKN MBT-209 | ||

This british manufactured vehicle is the main battle tank of the EDF. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
GMI AMAP-445 | ||
A truly unique design from GMI for a heavy weapons platform. The assembled weapon is a monster, in every conceivable sense of the word. It fires the largest gun seen anywhere on the world, save for heavy naval warships. The weapon usually sits or travels entrenched between a battery of VSAM and AGAMS equipped vehicles, and is used for long range support. The vehicle is huge, and heavy, and almost a waste of money due to the cost, not only of the vehicle itself, but of getting it to and from the war zone. Still, being able to shell other countries with pinpoint satellite assisted accuracy is a definite bonus. The idea behind the design is, that the weapon can sit behind cover, then bring its "legs" in, raising it up to snipe at its target, then lowering back down again for safety. The vehicle gets around the issue of needing a tracked chassis to fire it's rail gun through the use of explosive driven pitons, four on each "leg" which drive into the ground, locking the vehicle in place for firing. GMI M-87 Reptile
This American tank gets its name from the serpentine armor panels covering it. It is a rather standard tank, and serves well. It is a bit more accepting of harsh climates than the M-11. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
GMI Sapper | ||
Originally the United States developed this vehicle along the same lines as the BTP-36, GMI took it a step further and added twin 2 shot anti aircraft missile launchers and a second turret to house a 40 mm grenade launcher and a 7.62 mm MG for up close defense. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Militech Behemoth APC | ||
Militech doesn't really ascribe to the IFV theory, preferring to use APCs instead. The name is misleading, since most armored cars have better armament than the Behemoth. Such a fearsome name is good for image and morale, though; Militech sells a lot of them. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Militech M-14 SP | ||
Monster long range mobile artillery. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Militech M-81 | ||
The american version of the Russian BTP-49. Almost identical in operation, it is a a bit more stable of a firing platform due to the weapon being center mounted. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Militech MT-103 Rough Rider
American newest MBT, rapidly replacing the M-11 and the Patton as the Army and Marines MBT. It's overwhelming assortment of weaponry coupled with its speed and armor give it a distinct edge on the battlefield. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Militech MT-4 MBT | ||
Militech is the foremost commercial arms manufacturer in the world. Their entry into the MBT field is well-respected, it has decent armament, good range, good servicability, and is light enough to be transported by airship. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Militech Patton | ||
A rather large MBT from Militech. This vehicles flaw is perhaps its over reliance on its main weapon, with only a single 7.62 mm MG to act as back up. Still it sells well to many armies and supplements Militechs own weapon systems well. Common to many armies and many battlefields this tank is often sold to both sides of opposing forces. Mitsubishi LBT-34 Bonaparte
Designed originally for Japanese SDF forces, this mini tank has become popular with several militaries. The bulk of sales however for this this vehicle, is with police departments as part of their SWAT and C-SWAT arsenal. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Mitsubishi XLT-504 Pinball
Mitsubishi unveiled this state of the art innovation earlier this year. This mini-tank does not use wheels or treads, but instead is propelled by 4 electromagnetically spun balls. The balls let the tank move in any direction at full speed, giving it unparalled manoeuvrability. This tank is the test bed for the design, and the military funding provided by the United States allowed them to try and perfect it. There is rumor that they will be releasing a civilian sports car with the same innovation later this year. For urban travel, the balls are covered in a thick rubber, but for rougher terrain the ball also have short extending spikes to aid in traction. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Patria LMT-475 | ||
A very lightweight tank from Finland, serving EDF forces and most of the third world due to it's low price. Very popular in Africa, Southeast Asia and South America. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
South African Mammoth | ||
The largest and most expensive tank ever built. 5 of these exist, and it is unknown how South Africa managed to afford them, as well as where they got the knowledge to build them. Rumors are that Orbital Air funded them, with the EEC providing the plans (this corresponds with Orbital Airs spaceport construction plans, and the EEC's desire to control the region). These machines are monsters, and while moving across anything other than reinforced concrete they must keep moving or the massive weight will cause them to sink into the earth. So far no one has been able to to determine what military advantage these machines could give. They seem to have been built on a whim by a South African dictator, and rumors abound that the European government agreed to it simply to see what it would be capable of. Very strange proceedings surround this true behemoth. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
US M-11 MBT | ||
The M-11 is the Army's current state-of-the-art main battle tank. Cyber-linked, fast, heavily-armored and extremely expensive, it is supposed to be too costly for the corporations to match or exceed. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
US M-15 Infantry Fighting Vehicule
The term "Infantry Fighting Vehicle" is applied to an armored personnel carrier that carries enough weaponry to operate in support of the infantry it carries. While this does increase the organic firepower of an armored infantry unit, it also increases the cost, and IFVs can't carry enough armor for a slugfest with anything more powerful than very light vehicles. In practice, the best use for IFVs is at a distance, behind the troops as fire support. Unfortunately, this means that the troops have to disembark at a distance from their objective, nullifying the advantage of armored transport. Furthermore, the U.S. Army still can't seem to get an IFV that can float ! Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
US M-20 Superheavy | ||
This monstrosity has yet to leave the testing field. It is reputed to be the biggest MBT since Hitler's Maus. Experts are already scoffing at it, saying that it's too heavy and too big to operate anywhere except reinforced concrete runways. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
US M-50 Tank Hunter | ||
The U.S. Army believes in tank hunters that can survive. Based off the M-15 chassis, this missile-toting killer is designed to engage the enemy from long range, preferably totally behind cover. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
US M-75 Light Battle Tank
The M-75 LBT is the tank of choice for the average corporate army. Small, fast, with a quick-firing gun, it's nasty enough to do in anything not an MBT and cheap enough to lose. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Yakurichi-Ural BTP-36
Despite the size, weight and cost of this behemoth, it only supports one weapon system, a 3 cm railgun wrapped inside a special cowling to try and conceal its purpose by making it appear to be a more conventional weapon. This tank is huge, and has seen the most service in central Africa, being used by both sides in the massive civil war that is still raging. Due to the high cost of the railgun, and the high cost of the vehicle itself, very little in the way of other options are included. This is a poor mans tank with a rich mans weapon mounted on it. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Yakurichi-Ural BTP-49
A large weapon on a large tank. The turret does not rotate, instead the computer automatically moves the tank for firing solution. This makes it rather difficult for any close quarters survival, but since that's not it's duty, the Russians didn't seem to worried about that, and with it's incredible range, nor do most of its tank crews. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
Yakurichi-Ural BTP-505
Russia's most advanced and well armed tank. Possibly the best in the world. Featuring abundant, highly sloped armor, and weapons for nearly any situation. This vehicle is set to replace the BTP-36 as Russia's MBT, though its high cost has kept it from being too widely distributed as of yet. Special Equipment : Weaponry : |
