Revolvers have for a long time, been the only handguns with heavy firepower. Their easy mechanism and their sturdiness have provided to them this hegemony. Some attempt to built very heavy pistols during the eighties, like the automag .44 were not successful. In 2020, progesses in material strength made the revolvers lose their monopoly in the heavy gaunges field. Nethertheless, they still remain on the forefront of the "pocket howitzers" (see chapter dealign with borg weapons) or of the electrothermal ammunition weapons. And there is also the wild west nostalgics, who never go for a walk down high-street whithout their six-shoter.
